One thing, which you have also observed, is much more use of symbols, something which Protestants are re-learning at some places. Their &quot;official&quot; theology is very conservative (although not fundamentalist), but on ground level I don&#039;t think this always go through.
In the Catholic church, the rituals, sacraments, and priets play a very important role, preaching not that big, in what I&#039;ve seen.
